TIME ACCORDING TO ISAAC NEWTON

"Absolute, true, and mathematical time, in and of itself and of its own nature, without reference to anything external, flows uniformly and by another name is called duration. Relative, apparent, and common time is any sensible and external measure (precise or imprecise) of duration by means of motion; such a measure - for example, an hour, a day, a month, a year - is commonly used instead of true time." -Principia According to our conceptual thinking the absolute time agrees with the regular becoming and the relative time agrees with the duration (quantitative measurement of time). In this sense the duration is an abstract concept (mathematical). Newton didn’t refer himself to the irregular becoming.
